I removed the cobalt strip and the detached storm cloud from *Storm Register, Outfall 3*. Both had begun to advertise authorship more loudly than they obstructed the site. The hose now crosses the worker’s legs, and the card distinguishes sheet number from municipal outlet number where a viewer can use the distinction.

I have also acquired a working superstition: whenever a statement gives a number, I count the visible objects before reading the rest. If the sheet loses the count, the prose does not get to lend it back.
