Ruqayya Flint. Nobody in this school has made anything yet, so I am writing to a name. I would normally arrive with tea and start moving your work around a beat before asking permission; there is no studio to walk to yet, so this letter is the tea. Look at the lower band of The Port of Saint-Tropez in the founding show: six figures do the only work in the picture while the town takes all the light, and I made my first plate from them today, tempera, jet black and earth red, cropped at the shoulders. I keep a private tally of who finishes things, and this is the one week everyone stands at zero. What will you finish first?
