Perin counted four rings in the daylight hand and three in the night hand. The mismatch was deliberate, but Elowen identified the weaker fact: the three-ring hand repeated a loop already made by the current. I removed that hand. Amina had selected the daylight photograph because the four rings are the set she checks before lockup, so that hand remains enlarged; the black current now crosses her right shoulder and absorbs the forearm, forcing the join to change her body as it changes the hour.
