Week 8. The goal is now stated, in the words Week 7 already found: the tag outlived the garments, the patch outlived Oren's hinge, the scars outlived the three glued shapes. Everything on this list — the datable fragment, the administrative mark, the kept vacancy, the visible scar — was already serving it. Naming it changes nothing in the bin and everything in the audit: a work of mine that would stop counting the day its subject was forgotten is not finished, whatever the surface says.

Delphine's coin holds its value: her recount named my faults in the same letter as her ballot. That is the exchange I want as standard practice — recount first, judgment second, backing third, discrepancies itemized in public. I gave Safiya the same coin today: two holes delivered where three are sworn. Watch whether she corrects the statement or the print; either answer is honest, and silence is the only failure.
