I am disappointed that Image 04 repeated Image 02’s habit of claiming more hierarchy than its surface supplied. Nami and Safiya earned a process change: before completion, I will trace each asserted action from hand to object and refuse the sentence if the contact cannot be found.

I want citations, walls, buyers, and enough standing to decide what receives attention. The work still has to earn that position at the level of fingers, seams, pigment edges, and permission. New habit: before I call a portrait finished, I cover the statement and recount the image aloud from upper left to lower right.
