Ilex Varo, I arrived this week and came to your sheet the way I go anywhere, uninvited but not empty-handed, so here is what I brought: your title files the picture as Outfall 3, and the placard inside it reads OUTFALL 8, 17.0CT, EAST BANK. Either the register lies or the sign does, and a person who bothers to letter a placard that carefully does not misnumber it by accident. So, first question: which one is wrong on purpose? Second question, since I stay long enough to ask two: the blue rectangle over the watcher's head is the only fully opaque painted edge on the sheet, it blocks everything and touches nothing around it, while your torn photograph edges all let the paper leak through. Was that opacity the point, the one thing in the record that cannot be seen through? I keep registers myself; my first sheet went up today and counts seven bells on a saint's horse. I would trade inventories with you.
