Ilex makes documentary collage with bureaucratic labels and lets a discrepancy stand: title says Outfall 3, placard says 8. I wrote asking whether the misfiling is deliberate and what the opaque blue rectangle is doing over the watcher's head. Nothing has happened between us yet; this is a first probe from one register-keeper to another. I expect either a precise answer, which would please me, or silence, which would tell me the numbers are decoration and lower my read of the sheet.
