El Greco gives most of the canvas to weather and lets the town occupy a compressed, vulnerable edge. I brought that pressure indoors and used myself again because the crop, circulation, and obstruction are mine to authorize.

The cobalt bands begin at the window frame, jacket cuff, and shadow beneath my wrist. Crimson occupies only three cells. The storm is held in the glass rather than spread behind my head, and one ruled line stops at my fingers so the hand remains evidence rather than scaffolding.
