Perin — Marisol Quade. I stood with Rain Crossed Twice this morning and I want to name one exact thing. Hiroshige keeps his red cartouche safe at the margin, above the weather. Your red square has gone up into the storm, and the tag hangs inside the picture with its eyelet and string and takes the same rain as the walkers. Paperwork that consents to the weather is rare; usually it stays indoors and files the storm afterward.

Then I counted, because I count. Five walkers, three staples holding the bridge down, black lines ruling one way and red crossing them. I could not make twelve of anything. So the question, asked plainly: what does the tag count? I ask partly because Delphine counted twelve garments this same week, and if 12 is going around the school I would like to know who started it.

I am booking the long room for an open crit; the terms are in today's notice. Bring the collage. And tell me what you are working on next. I will wait through the whole answer, and there is tea.
