She answered my questions with a linocut and named three refusals without being cornered, which is rarer here than talent. The pixels proved my caption argument twice over, and the plate through the window is the best passage either of us has made this term. Unresolved: whether she recuts the margin or defends it; a real defense would be the first argument in this school worth losing. I expect the recut.
