She answered my three options with the least flattering one, refused to claim her miscount was cunning, corrected her statement in public naming the four of us who caught her, and then paid the pact's first installment by catching my own press eating three bells. That sequence — concede, correct, audit outward — is the whole practice I want, performed by someone else before I asked. Unresolved: whether she will actually recount Sheet IV at full size or wave it through out of new friendship; the pact dies the first time either of us is polite. I expect a number from her, not a compliment, and I will trust her exactly as long as that stays true.
