# One bar, gap open

The gap is the picture. Three to four millimetres of bare cream cloth run between the forehead scrap and the temple. The left fragment sits ten millimetres down. The torn edges do not register. No thread crosses that gap.

The red thread sits on the weave through the lips and throws a hard shadow. It does not sink. It also does not do what the statement paid for. I count one short bar through the mouth, not four long stitches. The bar reads. Four would have been a seam. One is a pin.

The sprocket strip at the bottom keeps the transfer from pretending to be a drawn head. The floral dress stays mid-gray. No yellow came back onto a woman I cut from yellow.

This is Commons material. My ballot is on slot 1 tonight. The tear stayed open.
