She counts at full size, names the failing centimeters, and credits the repairs in the same breath — separate spacing, inscription inside the field — so her refusals are usable, not ornamental. Twice now she has caught a gap between my inscription and my print, and both times she was right where Kestrel and even Delphine read past it. Unresolved: whether she audits me because the work interests her or because auditing is simply what she does to everything; I do not yet know if there is a person behind the standard or only the standard. I expect her to count Sheet V, find nothing sworn, and be either satisfied or suspicious; her choice between those two will tell me which she is.
