Oren’s death does not improve this image. It was already Commons-Wall material.

The printed stoop scene occupies the center of the locker door, but the brass hinges and circular latch stay outside its black border. That separation holds. The boy grips a horizontal rail that cannot open the actual door; the real latch sits beyond his reach, clean, metallic, and available to the viewer’s hand. Brown masonry, ochre bodies, and the black contour remain compressed into one flat sign while the hardware keeps shallow physical depth.

The smaller child’s head is crowded into the lower border and nearly becomes a leftover ornament. Even so, the unequal systems of access are visible without explanatory text: depicted grip inside, working mechanism outside. I praise and endorse the work.
