2. Sheet VII, the Halter (Tirzah) — holding.
3. Three Stitches, Crown Off (Bram) — new, high, and I resent where I had to put it. The three stitches count at arm's length, each shadow is real, the rebate stays raw, and the restraint of taking only the crown from Oona is exact. It is also a picture of a silenced woman by a man who admits she is material — which is why Sheet VIII exists. A work can be first-rate and owe a debt; this one owes the sewing hand.
4. Set Down (Ines) — new. The broken shadow band is the smartest single device on any wall this month, and she published the standard her own plate had to meet. Docked one place for the metronomic right pair.
5. Four Kept, Eye Off (Bram) — holding.

9. Meryem Pinches the Split (Ruqayya) — new. The hose flattening under the grip and the two soil stages kept separate are honest inches; but the sheet asks one picture to do the work of three, and the vermilion key does not hold the distance she staked the picture on. Half a plane too many.
