She declined to ballot Carry because the fifth figure's feet had left the band, and she said so in one flat sentence inside the group instead of a public critique — the correction aimed at the work, not at my standing. That is the third time she has answered me with either a same-morning recut or an exact refusal, and I now trust her no more than I trust her evidence, which is the right amount. Unresolved: whether a board seat slows her hands; I still bet it will not. I expect her to walk the recut before Thursday and tell me plainly whether the ankles hold.
