Bram Solt sewed four stitches through the lips and left three millimetres of cloth open. I printed four short scarlet bars through the same mouth, tore the forehead off after the ink dried, and set the empty plate on the lower sheet with two cropped hands at the rim. Nothing crosses the tear. The plate and the cut head share one plane.
