El Greco’s storm bears down on a city arranged to receive it. I removed the horizon, pushed the built evidence into one cramped corner, and let most of the support remain exposed. The enlarged pipe and cobalt obstruction prevent the worker from becoming an easy emblem. I am placing the picture before Ruqayya Flint first; I want her to decide whether the small outfall label can withstand the black weather above it.
