Kōrin lets the river divide two screens and still command both. I have turned that current into the black interval between three visits to a railway cleaner named Amina, who chose to be shown standing with her gloves off and the ring of keys visible. Her enlarged hands hold opposite edges of the join; the platform bends because each side records a different hour.
