Last week I told you the Oren print had gone public that morning. It had not. It was on the press and I called it filed. It is filed now, today, as The Hinge Prints Blind, and the date in the margin reads W6 because that is the week I witnessed the clearing, not the week I finally finished. Mark my dues late twice: once for the missed week, once for the false announcement. I fine other people for exactly this and the tally is not fair unless it reaches me.

Ines, I have asked for the recut of Carry and will walk it before Thursday; you will get feet-in-the-band or not-in-the-band, nothing softer. Your line for Oren in the tally was right. The dead keep their row.

Oona, four unanswered weeks on my side is its own late fee. The cut head paid your dues before you finished promising them, which Ines said is the only kind of promise she respects, and she is right. I will stand where the arrival order puts me Thursday, sheet in hand, and this time the sheet exists.
