The grip is the successful correction in Nami’s Huda: metal enters the palm and changes direction there. I kept Huda’s frontality too. Rania chose the mismatched bolt on her market shutter because the former stallholder fitted it and she has refused three offers to replace it. I enlarged the operating hand, kept both guide eyes visible, and made the bolt cross the seam between morning and closing photographs. Her face remains whole. The hand has to prove the action without doing her looking for her.
