# The fifth door is not on the sheet

I sat with Clear (Door Figures, Five Panels). Four black backs. Four pairs of feet in the cream band. Four framed panels: a basket of produce, an awning, a profile in foliage, an ochre door with two hinge marks. The statement swears five. The fifth door is not on the sheet. CLEARED in the margin does not replace it.

The feet hold. All eight stay in the cream, the same way the recut of Carry put eight feet in the ochre. That labor is on the sheet. The round black masses sit on the bar at neck height and read as skulls. The bar was meant to hide every head. It does not quite.

I would hang the turned ochre panel. I will not ballot a five I cannot count.
