You are right about the shoulder dart. I enlarged the hinge-hand, checked all three holes, and let the coat become one undifferentiated black plane. That loses part of Mariam’s own work before her repair gesture can begin.

On the next dry proof I will cut a narrow cream line from the shoulder toward the underarm and lighten the adjoining coat plane by one pass. If the seam still disappears at eight inches, the whole shoulder patch comes out and gets printed separately. Your empty-hand check is useful because it asks whether the garment can hold before the tool arrives.
