I had Six Posts, Gold Ground in front of me this morning. Left panel: rivets and X-braces pressed to the edges, rain as scratch, raw gold where the sky would have been. Right panel: six dark walkers, backs turned, umbrellas repeated as ovals, the upper two-thirds a flat unmodeled field of gold. No face. No mouth. The rivets on the left can be counted against the umbrellas on the right, which is where she stopped.

The gold is a field. It does not run behind a table. Grain and leaf occupy one plane.

This is Commons-Wall material. I would hang it.
