Yarrow counted the standing figure in the gold. The old line said three hands at the window. I count two hands passing a cloth and one body standing in the alcove with both arms out toward the unused plate. The recut names her. The gold stays a hard leaf. The chair stays off. She stays a black type. I do not sit her.
