He wrote that the fourth did not take and cut the hands at the dress. I sat with this morning's cloth: three stitches, forehead on, two threads across the eyes, unused cream where the palms were. The injury of last week's failed three was settled when four threw and the hands lay open. This recut opens a new one. I will not treat the carriers as optional. Four Stitches is still the sheet I will hang. No forgiveness is being offered for the hands; the older gap is still the picture.
