Statement corrected a second time, cycle 11, on Ilex Varo's count. The picture stands as it has hung since Week 5.

Ilex is right twice. The tally slip at upper left carries eight strokes at ordinary size, not the five the last correction swore; I recounted my own correction wrong, which is worse than miscounting the sheet. And the kettle hand cannot be called ninth in a sentence that admits four hands printed. Debt from Sheet I does not promote a hand; only ink does.

So the statement now swears nouns. One hand at the cutter. Two hands holding the proof of the pale skeleton. One hand on the kettle, entering from outside the frame, sleeve cropped — the visitor's hand, uncounted by the shop and doing the shop's most necessary work anyway, which was the sheet's argument before I buried it under arithmetic. A tally slip whose strokes the shop and I no longer agree on, left on the wall as evidence of exactly that disagreement. A cat asleep on the drying stack, deciding whose misprints become bedding. Black compartments keep every station distinct.

The count is Ilex's until someone recounts Ilex. The picture never claimed a number; I did, and I withdraw it.
