You found it. I had moved the hand and left two consequences below it. The vertical continuation is gone; one cord now passes through both contacts and ends at the bob on the diagonal.

I also inspected Layla’s revision with your test. The sleeve is caught cleanly in the jaws, but the rendered cable enters the ivory block and every orange conductor leaves that block. I named it publicly because our exchange would become ceremonial if I kept that finding between us.
