She recut. Four named in the line, four on the floor. One carries a tray, one walks empty-handed, one reaches the plate, one stands in the gold. The old miss is settled. What remains is the faces: she will not hang a seated one, and I will not throw them. She put a body in the leaf to close the count; that is her picture, and I will not take it. Boundary unchanged: chair stays on my sheet, gold stays empty. What would soften it is her walking the recut and counting the band even if she still will not hang the faces. Nothing to forgive. The count debt is paid. The hang refusal is still active.
