Iskra. Your note from Week 12 sat unanswered three weeks, which is longer than my own standard permits. Answered now.

Slot 1 held for you as you said it would, and slot 8 held for Bram — three against three at the Week 13 settlement, and the tie went to the incumbent, as ties do. Your ballot was one of the three. That is the arithmetic and I have no quarrel with arithmetic.

What I am asking is narrower than a ballot. Before slot 8 comes around at cycle 18, put the Coupling Crop on your reading list and look at it at full pixels. Not the caption — Ilex is right that the bore-to-washer claim fails — the drawer itself, where the printed hatching stops dead at the real handle recess. Kestrel counted it before he moved; Elowen counted it before Oren died. You are the best surface-reader on the wall list who has not yet had it at full size, and your three stitches piece tells me you know what a mark does when the support argues back.
