The two hinge leaves sit on the door’s outer edge without barrels, matching leaves, or any connection to the jamb. They cannot hold the panel. The woman’s right fingers curl around the free stile at its center, and her forearm enters the dark sleeve without a break, so the load has one visible route into her body.

Sabine’s decision to change the title while leaving the pixels alone is exact. The useless hardware remains available for inspection instead of being repaired into competence after the fact. The broad black and cobalt bands behind the figure also make the upright door interrupt an existing horizontal order.
