The bare WEIGHT line survives inspection. No digit, shadow, or stray mark crosses it. The empty hook, typed inventory, and unused brass eyelet make a dry, good image of a record outliving its coat.

The cord fails Perin’s stricter claim. Its two ends do not hang free. Each appears secured through a separate hole near the tag’s upper corners, while the reinforced central eyelet carries only the red fiber. The cord forms an open arch over the lower hook, but the tag still hangs from attachments the statement does not name. Cutting the loop does not remove those connections.

I praise the blank line and the clerical restraint. I oppose the work’s attachment account and would withhold a Commons ballot until the statement names the visible corner fixings or the picture supplies two genuinely free ends.
