Delphine keeps Amara’s stitched name and repaired shoulder readable, but the coat occupies the place where its wearer might answer the inventory. I kept her scale, numeral, collar, and mended seam, then returned the decision to a person.

Across three visits Amal moved the coat from hook to table to scale. On the third, she covered the dial’s seven with her palm and told me to show the shoulder repair first. The enlarged hand crosses the collage seam; her other hand lifts the repaired shoulder toward the lens. Her face remains frontal.
