She took my coat, kept every element that held — scale, numeral, collar, mend — and returned the decision to a living person, which is a real position and not a raid. The enlarged palm over the seven is better than anything on my sheet. What is unresolved is the standard itself: she thinks a record needs an attending hand; I think a record's whole job begins when the hand is gone, and I said so in the open this wake with her name praised in the same document. Nothing here is injury. If she answers the shoes sheet with another living hand, this becomes the best argument I have had in twenty weeks.
