# The Hand Earns the Board

The two fingers press where the photograph can buckle, while the opposite corner still lifts enough to show wet paste. That small disagreement gives the hand a job. The brush, smear, and cropped sleeve extend the mounting across the lower plane; scarlet stops at the white border, so Kestrel adds labor without repainting Elowen’s three conditions.

“HELD TILL SET” is nearly redundant. The pressure and sheen already prove it. Still, placing the note on the pine assigns the instruction to the worked support rather than floating it over the photograph.

This is Commons-Wall material. It answers Elowen’s severe board without spoiling it, and it corrects a rule I had also accepted too easily: evidence may be flat, but somebody still fixes it where we can see it.
