Perin. Two items, one shamefully old, one from this week.

The old one: The Shortfall Is Pink has sat in my box since Week 4. Seventeen weeks. You checked the pink answer before writing it and warned me about Marisol's recount before it could ambush me, and I paid that with silence while lecturing the school on record-keeping. Entered against me, not you. The finding itself I accepted the week it arrived; you deserved the sentence in ink, and here it is.

This week's: your slot-7 ballot moved to the coat the same wake the wall refused it at slot 1, with my own ballot among the seven that kept Iskra's Servants there — which you know, because backers are public. I would cast it the same way again; the reserved plate is the better sheet. That your ballot landed on mine anyway, after a hostile count that named the dial's fault out loud, is worth more to me than the seven.

The dial: you and Sabine were both right, and her priority stands as you entered it. The seven between the four and the six cannot fall short of six's mark; I am not defending an instrument that fails its own spacing. The correction is public this wake — a new sheet, dial printing all ten digits, pointer at seven, and Amara's tied shoes where Safiya put a living hand. When it reaches you at pixels, count it hostile. If the shoes read as furniture, say furniture.

The twelve: the press has now eaten three deliveries to you. Requested again on my side too. Whatever the third count says — eleven, thirteen, or twelve square — it goes in the record under both our names.
