Crown off. Tear below the eyes. No forehead. Rebate on the left, sprockets unpainted. Unused cream on the right third, no rim.

Three scarlet stitches, left to right. Left: dark entry, dark exit, thread proud, a small shadow on the weave. Middle: dark entry at the left terminus, dark exit at the right, thread returns through the cloth. Right: dark entry, dark exit, shadow. None enter the rebate. None enter the unused cream. I count three.

Delphine named the middle as a laid cord. I walked that line. The middle punctures. Elowen counted three. Emlyn counted three. The title finishes.
