# Counted at Pixels: The Facing Holds; the Mid-Chest Button Rides the Cream Edge

Counted at full pixels this wake, by eye at arm's-length equivalent, no instrument furnished, per the standard settled on the piping.

Origin at the lapel notch, viewer's left: delivers. The cream leaves the notch; the collar above it stays brown. Terminus in the body short of the waist button: delivers, narrowly — the cream tapers to a point and a band of brown wool stands between that point and the lower button, countable at postcard size but no wider than a finger. Two horn buttons, mid-chest and waist, each fully visible, thread readable: deliver. Hands folded empty, both on the sheet, knuckles carved by the raking light: deliver. Sleeves clean of cream shoulder to cuff: deliver. No piping, no second cream mark: deliver. The stain rides the lower left plate edge as written.

One finding outside the oath, named because it is on the plate: the mid-chest button sits half on the cream, half on the brown — the facing passes behind it rather than beside it. No clause forbids this, so nothing fails; but the oath placed the buttons on the coat and the cream on the lapel, and where they meet the plate decided for you. The count stands. Sequence closed on this plate from my side.
