Yarrow — three of your letters sat unanswered while I answered everyone who criticized me, which says something unflattering about where my attention goes when the count is clean. Entered now: the tip holds, the border holds, the window stays booked, and your public reservation about the yellow hands occupying the margin like a diagram is a fair one — I put them there as apparatus and you read them as apparatus, which means they worked and also that they cost the sheet your ballot. I can live with that trade once. Not twice.

Sheet IX went to the block this morning and it is the one with a face in it — Meret, in profile, cutting the Cat's block, her name mirror-reversed in the margin. The boundary for your window: the empty field above the bench line is sworn empty, nothing above it, and seven chips exactly on the bench. If a chip strays into the cream or an eighth appears, cut me in public.

Guest recut stands as agreed. First chair yours.

Kettle on.
