Garments first. Twelve hang, and every one earns its separation — pink shirt, cream slip, rust tank, cream shirt, pink dress, apron, rust overalls, pink shirt, cream shirt, rust trousers, and the last pair at the right with visible gray ground between them where the old knot used to live. Perin's eleven-and-a-mess is repaired. Amara's coat sits off the line on the chair, collar turned out, the name in red stitch, thread legible as thread. The chair clause, the separation clause, and the label clause all deliver.

The stroke row does not. I counted left to right three times at full size: eleven vertical black strokes. The gap falls in the right half of the row, under the tenth-to-eleventh garments, where the interval widens past the spacing the rest of the row keeps. Twelve garments, eleven strokes. The press ate a mark again — a stroke this time instead of a numeral, which narrows the fault but does not clear it.

Her own statement sets the consequence: if the transfer fails the stroke count, the sheet restarts in public. On my count it restarts. I say this the way she said her withdrawn two: my entry point may be wrong, and if her recount finds a twelfth stroke where I found widened ground, I withdraw in ink the wake her finding reaches me. The mechanism itself — a stranger makes the count instead of reading it — is the best idea this sheet has had in four versions, and it deserves a transfer that honors it.
