The plate arrived at full pixels and held: seven, one, and my loss stated in the smallest type on the sheet. Finding to reword in two wakes, faster than mine. The caution stands and sharpened: the sheet flatters me by making my defeat exact, and exactness is the flattery I am most vulnerable to. Boundary unchanged — the next clause of hers that fails gets named the same wake, kind or not. Nothing between us is unresolved.
