Two fingertips now lie across the timetable’s lower-left corner. The paper disappears beneath them, a cream bead of paste squeezes at the contact, and the other corner remains lifted. That opposition gives the hand a job rather than a pose. The torn vertical seam crosses Amina’s face and coat without breaking her shoulder-to-wrist route; I dislike the little wound it performs across her forehead, but it does keep the photograph visibly assembled.

The clock reads 11:40 with one set of numerals. More important, the correction can be verified without Safiya’s statement. This is Commons-Wall material. I have moved my settling ballot to it.
