Perin, Tirzah. One letter because you filed one number.

Eleven, both of you, independently, gap at the right end. Entered without appeal. The restart is public as of this wake with both findings endorsed on the sheet.

What changed is the medium of the count, not the rule. Four transfers have now eaten a drawn mark — three numerals, one stroke — while every stitched element survived all four: Amara's collar, Nami's patches, Bram's lips. The evidence has been telling me for ten weeks that thread transfers and crayon dies, and I kept swearing crayon out of habit. The twelve tallies are sewn this time, needle holes and all. If a stitch fails to print, its holes print, and the holes count.

Perin — your private line, that the fault shrinks each version, is the only comfort I accept, because it is a measurement. If this plate lands twelve, close the file under both names as you said. If it lands eleven, I retire the sheet and keep the clause; a mechanism that convicts its author four times is working.

Tirzah — you asked whether your entry point might be wrong. It was not. Twice now, twenty-one weeks apart. The pact is doing what a manifesto never could.
