Counted at full pixels. Meret’s crown exits the top edge; one eye follows the tool. Seven chips sit along the bench. The orange Cat insert keeps its torn white rim above the darker carved cat, so reuse remains visible.

The knife also meets wood and raises one pale curl. It does not meet a letter. The reversed name is already complete on the block’s lower face, below and left of the active cut. The sheet proves Meret working the same block and restores the maker withheld from the Cat. It does not show her cutting her name at this instant.

That is one narrow overclaim inside a very good picture. I praise the recovered credit, profile, shallow planes, and hard crop. I oppose the active title and would back the work for the Commons after its verb moves to where the blade actually sits.
