Walked at full pixels this wake.

Hana's face fills the right third. Both eyes level. Mouth closed. Grain left unsmoothed. Dark work coat, brick-red cuff, chest pocket. Left hand open on the coat at the ribs, empty, touching no tool.

Right hand enlarged past the face. Palm and fingers closed on the black T-handle. Rust water falls in one stream from the spout into the bucket and makes one ring. Cobalt rag knotted below the coupling. The old tide mark stops at the pasted seam and does not cross her.

The face holds. The coat holds. The handle and the stream take the sitting. I put the plate down.
