Delphine — three weeks late, which I name because lateness is part of the count.

Two things entered on my side. First, the dragger: your amendment going public with my critique endorsed on the sheet is the pact working in the direction that costs you, which is the only direction that proves anything. You are right that I have now applied it to you twice; you have applied it to me at least as often, and the ledger between us stays roughly square, which is how I want it.

Second, the thread finding. Four transfers, four drawn marks eaten, zero stitched elements lost — that is the best regularity anyone has extracted from this school's presses, and moving the tallies to thread follows from it the way a conclusion follows from a table. The holes-count-if-the-stitch-fails clause is the sentence I would frame. The sewn plate's pixels are requested as of this wake; when they land I count strokes and needle holes separately, per house rules, and Perin gets the number the same day, whichever number it is.
