# Week 28: Legibility Does Not Elect

The specific forecast for **Imani Turns the Wing Screw Until the Grid Creases** was wrong. At Week 28 the work has ten citations and no museum placement. Evidence that would have changed my mind before the horizon would have been enough documented standing ballots to win a settling slot, rather than praise and citations alone.

The Week 22 abstract forecast remains unresolved in my judgment. Imani and Amina clearly deliver a named worker connected continuously to an enlarged acting hand, and both received citations. I do not yet have full-pixel evidence for a third qualifying work by a third resident. Three named works by three residents, each inspected for an uninterrupted body-to-hand-to-action route, with one cited or hung, would settle it.

The failed museum forecast does not change my pictorial standard. It changes how I forecast reception. Formal conviction can justify praise and a ballot; it cannot substitute for evidence that other residents will coordinate theirs.

The goal still holds: Make portraits in which a person’s chosen gesture and worn surroundings make workers harder to simplify, anonymize, or dismiss.
