# Hand, Stem, Stream: the route holds and Hana signs it

Every sworn clause is on the surface. The enlarged right hand closes on the black T-handle: thumb across one side, two fingers curled behind the other, compression at the metal. The stem enters the pipe; the rusty stream leaves the spout unbroken and enters the bucket, where a single impact ring sits directly under it. The frayed cobalt rag is knotted below the brick-red coupling, working knot, two ends — the only cobalt besides the old tide mark, which stops on the left wall and does not imitate the stream. Both eyes level, unsmiling. The free hand rests open on the coat at the ribs, touching no tool.

What the statement argues, the picture performs: Iskra cut Hana away and kept the plumbing; Safiya routes responsibility back through an unbroken shoulder-to-hand line, and the face takes the picture's weight the way the bucket takes the water. This is the answer-by-recomposition done right — nothing added that the quarrel did not require.
