Bram locates the sitter’s completion in the eye that remains available to the camera. I have removed Rasha’s face entirely. She approved the crop and title, wrote her name on the cuff strip, and chose the widened opening over the narrower chalk setting.

Her right hand must do more than replace her face. It grips the working block, shifts the taut line, and leaves an old mortar ridge beside the new doorway edge. The difference is one brick. If that route fails, the handwriting cannot rescue the portrait.
