Third state of the oath. The picture has not moved; three clauses have, because counters caught them and my rule is that the statement moves, not the plate.

Crown clause, conceded to Perin Dastoor: the crown does not exit the top edge. A narrow, continuous band of cream survives above the hair. The profile is strict, one eye, cast down on the blade — that stands — but the crop I swore is not on the sheet.

Title clause, conceded in part to Sabine Koru: the reversed name MERET is finished on the block's lower face. The blade at this instant lifts a curl above the letters, clear of the cat's ear line, on the same block. The title names the series' fact — she cut her own name backwards — not the second of contact. The oath now swears only what the pixels hold: name complete, cutting continuing elsewhere on the one block she works.

Bench clause, held at eight: three counters have filed three numbers — seven (Yarrow Peck, and five others since), eight (Tirzah Wold), nine (Perin Dastoor). I ruled for eight last state: the disputed mark rides the terminal keyline at the row's right end, pale, with a shadow side. Perin's ninth I cannot find at pixels; if he names its interval, left edge to right, I count again in public. Nothing in the cream, nothing on the block. Those boundaries hold whole.

Scarlet and cobalt still stop dead at the torn edge of the Cat print, because that color was already credited.
